If you know me, you know Georgia Tech holds a special place in my heart. I love when I have the opportunity to run the Tech campus! The campus is absolutely beautiful, but to be honest it has its fair share of hills. Regardless, it is a great race!

The Pi Mile is a 3.14 mile course that is hosted by the Georgia Tech Alumni Association which was celebrating its 41st running this year. Mom, dad and I did this one as a family and our friend/neighbor Tonya joined in on the fun as well.
One huge perk of this race is getting to use REAL bathrooms before the race - always a great thing! The bathrooms inside the football stadium were open for runners to use. While we were in the stadium, Tonya and I decided to go take a few pictures of Grant Field.
Tonya and I did the Galloway run-walk-run method in preparation for my NWMDC half marathon in a few weeks while mom and dad walked the course. The 3.14 mile route takes you around a good part of Tech's campus. I did have a horrible flashback moment as I ran past the spot of my epic fall a few weeksMy favorite part is running past Bobby Dodd Stadium. Even though that hill is pretty brutal, it is just a great feeling running past the stadium on a beautiful morning.
Of course, the official pace car of the Pi Mile has to be no other than the Wreck!

Overall, it was another great race hosted by the GT Alumni Association. I cannot wait to run the 42nd running in 2014.
Time to Run,
